"Gala Was A Tiger" CD
$10.00
“Gala Was A Tiger”
Cole & The Make Out Scene's first album “Gala Was A Tiger” is a documentation of the journey of life – an ode to love and the fear of love. Spearheaded by guitarist and vocalist Cole Gove, the album was conceived and produced over the span of a year and a half. The band's folk-punk sound, poetic lyricism, and overall laid back feel creates the warm, drifting sound that only a group of close friends can. Cole Gove and guitarist Jesse Dold recorded the album in their homey Ghost Mill Recording Studio in Dover, NH along with bassist Moses Lizotte and vocalist Courtney Brocks. A dream realized, the studio is a compilation of Cole and Jesses musical dreams thought up years ago.
The album's name, “Gala Was A Tiger” is based on Salvador Dali's life-long love, Gala. The two had an intense but bizarre relationship with Gala's constant infidelity often encouraged by Salvador. In a sense “Gala Was A Tiger” is a dichotomy of their relationship. “A tiger is something you can cuddle with but it is also something that can tear you apart,” explains Cole Gove. Gala was Salvador's life and when she died so did he.
“When I rage in the night could love your set me right? Flesh gone bad cuts like a knife; a surgeon's hand could set me right,” “Lover I Had A Doubt” floats on. The song speaks well for the album questioning if it's safe to put your faith in someone. The whole album answers questions as such – a mosaic of experiences and lessons about letting go and finding love again.

"Bodhisattva Beard" Sticker
$2.00
There is an old story in which three people are walking through a desert. Parched and thirsty, they spy a high wall ahead. They approach and circumnavigate it, but it has no entrance or doorway. One climbs upon the shoulders of the others, looks inside, yells "Eureka" and jumps inside. The second then climbs up and repeats the actions of the first. The third laboriously climbs the wall without assistance and sees a lush garden inside the wall. It has cooling water, trees, fruit, etc. But, instead of jumping into the garden, the third person jumps back out into the desert and seeks out desert wanderers to tell them about the garden and how to find it. The third person is the Bodhisattva

Lurk is a little bit bad and tab bit good. On this sticker he is holding up his hand in a love symbol. His hands have eyes in them it symbolizes learning threw doing. He holds a knife symbolizing duality and clarity. His third eye is open and his others closed. This symbolizes direction with feeling and soul.
